FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about white blocks, adhesives, thermal insulation, and installation.

What are white blocks? +

Premium White Blocks is a lightweight, precast, foam concrete building material that provides excellent thermal insulation, fire protection, and sound dampening. It is widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial walls.

Why should we use white blocks instead of traditional red clay or concrete hollow blocks? +

White Blocks offer significant advantages: they are 3x lighter than standard concrete (dry density from 430±50 to 650±50 kg/m³ across grades E0 to E4 per BS EN 772-13), provide certified thermal insulation from 0.12 W/m·K (E0 per BS EN 12664) to resist Oman heat, deliver verified fire resistance (4 hours @ 100 mm, Warrington Fire Assessment), accelerate wall completion with large 600x200mm block dimensions, and minimize plaster wastage due to precise dimensions.

Do white blocks require a special adhesive or cement mortar? +

Yes, it is highly recommended to use thin-bed block jointing adhesive instead of standard thick sand-cement mortar. Thin-bed adhesive is applied in a thin 2-3mm layer, which prevents heat bridges and ensures massive bond strength and saves mortar costs.

How do white blocks withstand Oman's high summer heat? +

White blocks have tiny closed air pockets that drastically slow down heat transfer. Their thermal conductivity is low (from 0.12 W/m·K for E0 per BS EN 12664), meaning summer heat stays outside, and the indoor air conditioning load is greatly reduced.

What is the fire resistance rating of The White Blocks? +

Our white blocks are Class A1 non-combustible. A 200mm thick wall can withstand direct fire for up to 4 hours without losing structural stability, which is vital for commercial, villa boundary, and multi-tenant safety.

Where do you deliver blocks in Oman? +

We have branches and delivery networks spanning Liwa, Salalah, Misfah (Muscat), Musanna, Nizwa, and Mabilah. We offer direct-to-site shipping with crane-unloading trucks.
